The Toowong Harriers Athletics Club acknowledges the Yuggera and Turrbal people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we run, jump, throw, train, socialise and call our home.

 

While Harrier members have trained, competed and fostered friendships on the lands of Toowong for almost 130 years, the Yuggera and Turrbal people have been hunting, fishing, living, working and calling these lands home for more than 70 thousand years.

 

We thank the Yuggera and Turrbal people for looking after the land and water and strive to care for and honour the land as they did.

 

We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, honouring their continued connection to the land on which we gather.
