What was your favourite sport as a kid? - I loved all sport but Swimming and touch football were probably my favourite.

What is your highest sporting achievement? - Top 20 world rankings for 100m and 200m backstroke.

What do you do to calm your butterflies while you compete? - The butterflies appearing mean I'm ready to race. I love this feeling because it makes me go faster!

What do you love about coaching young athletes? - It's rewarding to see kids discover their individual strengths in sport, not just ability, but their sportsmanship, their unique style, how they handle losing and those who get back up.

What is your favourite ice cream flavour? - I'd rather some raspberry sorbet!

What is your dream holiday destination? - Warm sun, a small beach, no crowds.

What is your one piece of advice for a young athlete? - That's easy - fun and friendships. This is the biggest part of sport at every level - even the elites.
